Some of the websites I've developed in my tenure of web design.
The original content/ URLs might have changed over the time
since I neither maintain nor keep track of these websites.
Chandana

Sierra is my first website. I still remember the days. I had a fairly slow machine assembled ground up by myself. Running Windows 98, crashing like a hell, restarting every other minute, learning my ABC of web design, was down with fever on the same week. Whoa! Whatta start it was... I am glad the way things turned out lately.
One of the simplest designs I came up with without any fancy stuff or Flash. Right colours, light images and loads fast. Everybody seems to like it because ofthe soothing look and feel. The challenge was first there hadn't been any content to be put in. So, even the copywriting part was done by me, something I usually don't take account for.

My early boss's brain child for a
corporate portal as a hub of Asia. X stood to denote the canter of
Asia. Though never materialized,
I really enjoyed doing this
promotional animation for the site which never came to
exist. May be it's my best Flash
animation yet.
My favourite layout for a travel
agency . Lately the site had been changed somewhat by a third
party. To see the two of the
original references which I have
separately hosted Click Here.

The biggest corporate site I had
single handily took account for in
design aspects. Favourite Group
had lot of sub sections.
We did this site covering all of
their sub sections. There was an
apparel, real estate and
apartment sub sections with a
Virtual Tour which even surprised
us once after we finished it.
when I got this Connaisance
Hotels website I had the feeling
that I had been getting too much
of hotel sites to deal with.
I was tired of finding right layouts
and images for travel related
sites. At some point I came to
hate that Sri Lanka is as a travel
destination. Too many hotels.
Anyway the final outcome was
something that always worth
the effort.

Big subsection of Favourite
Group's website. Done with Flash.
The mouse trail of Corona really
impressed everyone because it
was fairly new done with the help
of hot Flash 4 release.
And that's the first time I used
the pre-loader technic came
to maintain big swf movies.
Another chunk of favourite site.
Dedicated to their apartment
business. You can have a
preview of floor-planes
available for sale in Landmark
apartments. Done with Flash.

Another travel site I took part in
developing. Nice look and feel.
One of the sub sections of
Dilmah website which I
developed. Nothing special that
I can recall.

One of the best website I took
part in developing. The site was
originally done by my early boss
Mr.Wedanayake. Though my
contribution was only for couple
of sections I really liked this site.
It must be the first shopping cart
here in Sri Lanka. It even had
won the best top ten shopping
carts award in US.
My first website for a foreign
company. Company is based in
Canada and making various
kinds of gloves with factories
here in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Did it in a hurry but came out
nicely.

First time I learned how to
use the dis-joint mouse over.
One of the very things I
kept wondering how the hell
this is done when I saw it
elsewhere for the first time.
Once you get used to it, it's
nothing. That's one of the very
reasons that I love this job.
You always gotta learn something.
A kind of refreshing
feeling always.
One of the freelance work
I did for a leading shipping
lines in Sri Lanka. The client
made too many changes. Sometimes
I got really frustrated and
still believes the first layout
I did for them was the best.

The fastest deadline I ever
met with. The site was done
in three days. The third day
since having shown to the
customer for the first time
the site was up and running.
Wow! It looked cooler than any
of my other sites which always
took years to complete.
The secret was that this
client didn't changed a
thing except his e-mail address.
I realized there are such nice
guys into business.
